Anxiety Therapy for Adults and Children
Work with your anxiety at every stage of life.
Hi, I’m Julia.
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Social Worker specializing in anxiety treatment for children and adults.
I help clients explore the patterns that shape and enable anxiety, often formed across childhood and into adulthood, using somatic, narrative, emotion-focused, and sand tray therapies.
In my work with adults, we often focus on basic developmental themes and life questions relating to their anxiety, including needs for safety, authenticity and intimacy, freedom and agency, and worth and belonging. Oftentimes, our anxiety is subtly or overtly influenced by one or more of these areas.
For children with anxiety, I provide play-based therapy. This work helps children process emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills, helping to reduce anxiety now while also supporting long-term emotional development. By meeting children where they are developmentally, therapy becomes a space where anxiety can soften and growth can unfold.
My work with anxiety is shaped not only by clinical training, but also by extensive lived experience. I know firsthand how painful chronic anxiety can be, and I’ve found tools that have enabled me, and my clients, to develop a different, more compassionate relationship with their anxiety.
If you or your child have anxiety, you’re in the right place. I invite you to contact me to get started.
